There are approximately 3,600 species of native bees in North America, and more than 700 of them are found in San Diego County. With its dense coastal sage scrub and diverse native blooms, Cabrillo provides ideal habitat for many of these important pollinators, and an incredible place to learn about them.
Guests will explore the world of Cabrillo’s native bees up close through Patricia’s skilled netting demonstrations and gain a deeper understanding of the native habitats these species rely on for food and shelter.
