Old Point Loma Lighthouse 360° Virtual Tour
Each year, hundreds of thousands of visitors step inside the Old Point Loma Lighthouse to connect with Cabrillo National Monument’s rich maritime history, imagine life at the edge of the sea, and experience one of the park’s most beloved landmarks. However, because of the lighthouse’s historic design, including steep stairs at the entrance and to the upper levels, not every visitor, student, or educator was able to fully view the interior until the launch of the Old Point Loma Lighthouse 360* Virtual Tour in 2026.
Available in both English and Spanish, this tour was designed to provide everyone, regardless of ability or location, the opportunity to experience and learn from this historic landmark. It is our hope that educators will integrate this resource into classroom lessons, use it as a pre-field trip planning tool, or share it with students who may not otherwise be able to fully experience the lighthouse in person.
