On April 30, Cabrillo National Monument Foundation Executive Director, Emily Moore joined 117 other national park partner representatives in Washington D.C. for "Hill Day" to ask members of the House and Senate to support future funding for our national parks. The coalition coordinated by the National Park Foundation collectively logged more than 250 meetings with congressional representatives asking them to support the America the Beautiful Act, which reauthorizes the Legacy Restoration Fund (LRF) set to expire in September of this year.
In this newsletter, we recognize the power of connection that Cabrillo National Monument has to people. Whether it is in Washington D.C. or at one of many outreach events, CNMF staff are met with an outpouring of positive reactions, the sharing of memories and traditions forged at the park, and the desire to preserve park treasures that have made these experiences possible.
Spring embodies the beauty of renewal, a reminder of nature’s timeless ability to transform and thrive. At the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation, we embrace this same resilience, much like the changing seasons. While we face uncertainty in navigating potential funding shifts, we remain steadfast—adapting to each year’s evolving conditions. Like the seasons themselves, our vitality depends on the unwavering support of extraordinary individuals like you, and we are so grateful.
