Cabrillo National Monument Foundation is thrilled to share that we have received a $50,000 grant from the National Park Foundation as part of our ongoing participation in the Collective Campaign for National Parks. The Campaign represents a nationwide movement to elevate philanthropic support of our national parks, ensuring these iconic places thrive for generations to come.
While national parks continue to face and adapt to changes, park partner organizations like ours are stepping up to help more. This one-time, flexible grant will help CNMF maintain the momentum built over the past several years.
The grant serves as a strategic catalyst to increase and strengthen our fundraising capabilities, revenue-generating activities, address current challenges, and build for the future. With this support, we’re better equipped to grow, innovate, and more deeply serve both our park and the visitors who deserve to enjoy it today and forever.

The award follows Executive Director, Emily Moore's recent participation in "Hill Day" where she joined 116 other national park representatives from the National Park Foundation and the National Park Friends Alliance in Washington D.C. to ask members of the House and Senate to support future funding for our national parks.
"The National Park Foundation is our champion whether it's philanthropic support, sharing resources, or supporting our activities - it's all about the parks and the visitors, no matter what it takes. And when you have this type of support system, you become equally as passionate to do whatever it takes. This is how I view CNMF's relationship with Cabrillo National Monument," said Executive Director, Emily Moore.
This grant is part of a larger, joint nationwide effort between the National Park Foundation, the National Park Friends Alliance, and over 100 park partners like CNMF to collectively raise $4.5 billion by 2028 and further strengthen the philanthropic landscape for our national parks. The Campaign for National Parks aims to meet the evolving needs of our national parks through critical investments in land and wildlife conservation, historic preservation, infrastructure upgrades, and more. Together with the National Park Foundation and organizations like ours across the country, we will ensure that our national parks – including Cabrillo National Monument – are cared for and will be enjoyed by visitors today and for generations to come.
But the work doesn’t stop here. Grants like this are powerful catalysts, but the ongoing care of Cabrillo National Monument depends on continued community support. Memberships provide Cabrillo National Monument Foundation with reliable, annual funding that ensures we can plan ahead, respond to urgent needs, and support the needs of the park year-round.
