PHOTO CONTEST

The Cabrillo National Monument Foundation’s 2010 “Take Your Best Shot” Photo Contest is accepting entries until August 31, 2010. The event is sponsored by the Cabrillo National Monument Foundation and is open to anyone with a photograph taken at San Diego’s only national park.

Cabrillo National Monument is one of the most beautiful locations on California’s coast and boasts photo opportunities that include coastal views, indoor and outdoor shots of the old lighthouse, tide pool scenes, coastal sage habitat, and a variety of bird life. The winning photograph will best capture the essence of Cabrillo National Monument and must be graphically appropriate to be reproduced on the park’s 2010 annual pass. Prizes will be awarded to the winning photographers and the runner ups. All photos must have been taken between September 1, 2009, and August 31, 2010, the contest deadline. Entrance to the park is the only cost to enter ($5.00 per vehicle, $3.00 for motorcyclists, bicyclists and walk-ins, and free to holders of various National Park Service passes).
